Sensory Overload

Well it has been far too long since my last post, but I have been busy on an expedition out of doors. Christa and her parents have allowed me to venture outside and see the real world, and you will not believe the excitement I have encountered. My first trip outside overloaded my senses and I was terrified! I stayed no more than two feet from the door and any loud noise or sign of other people made me dart back into the house. I gadually became accustomed to the intense sensations and my trips outside have become far more exciting! Bugs, birds, squirrels, and leaves crawling, hopping, running, and floating across the lawn! Ahhh I just want to be outside again bonding with nature. Sweet, sweet nature. I've began to give Christa and her parents a hard time, too. When I'm not ready for an adventure to be over, I run frantically from them and they end up chasing me all over the yard. It's pretty funny, and I actually enjoy the thrill. Well, today was quite the adventure. Christa took me outside for an ENTIRE hour! I was searching around trying to find something new and exciting, then I saw it, the jungle grass.

I took shade under the exotic plant and let my instincts take over. I felt like a wild cat from far east asia, a tiger crouching in the shade waiting for its prey. I spent nearly twenty minutes digging a hole in the dirt so I could lay comfortably, then I just played with the strands of grass and observed nature around me. It was magical. Unfortunately, Christa finished her cup of tea and forced me to come inside. So due to my frustration at the abrupt end of my adventure, I took it out on Nala. I ran right up to her and whacked her on the nose. That's all for now.....
